Security sources close to the scene has told
SaharaReporters that the cause of the blast was an IED explosion as
students massed around a notice board to check their examination
results.
The blast was then followed as reported earlier by series of gunshots by allegedly Boko Haram terrorists.
34 people are said to be injured so far.
Majority of the dead are said to be female, and several students and staffs were also afflicted.
The Boko Haram sect is believed to have killed no fewer than 5,000
