Why Kwankwaso Visited Okorocha

Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso’s delegation under the aegis of “Nigeria Project 2015,” at the weekend visited the Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha. Leadership reports that the governor’s campaign organ may have visited Okorocha to solicit partnership in the contest for the 2015 presidential election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking after the meeting with Okorocha, Kano State commissioner for information, youth, sport and culture, Dr Abubakar Nuhu Danburan, who is the team leader revealed that the purpose of the visit was to seek Okorocha’s partnership with Kwankwaso in 2015 poll.
The commissioner, who noted that they were elated with the recipient response, said Okorocha also hinted on his contemplation to run for presidency in 2015.
Danburan further revealed that the Imo governor promised to work for Kwankwaso, if he wins APC presidential ticket to contest. The delegation also urged some stakeholders of APC to support Kwankwaso in winning APC presidential ticket.
Danburan who described the Kano governor as a true leader with the capabilities of handling the currently challenges facing the country said, Kwankwaso’s transformation of Kano is a driving force to do same in Nigeria and move it to greater height.
